ABOUT ME
With his Epiphone Les Paul guitar tuned, sixteen year old Eddie Lucitt stares pensively into an almost blank sheet of paper, marked only with five lines of music staff. A few whole notes, eighth rests, and four beats later, the musical composition is entiched with artistic harmonies, soul and rhythm.
Lucitt, the lead vocalist and guitarist in his poppunk styled band, Streetlight Serenade, has been interested in music since age five. Inspired by John Lennon and Jimi Hendrix, Lucitt combines genres of punkrock, pop, electronic and techno into his music.
Music isnt just sounds put together to make a song. Its building blocks to an enormous wave of emotion that never stops building, said Lucitt.
Lucitt can play the guitar, bass, piano. drums, clarinet, melodica, ocarina, ukulele, violin, cello, and more. Currently, Lucitt is working with Bryant Oden, a childrens songwriter. Lucitt has released many releases of music including Another Try and Thinking Something Of It.
Other experiences include writing musical composition for a short student film called Hopscotched, and working with local artists to record, edit and mix songs. Lucitt has a small recording studio in his room, where he writes his own songs and mixes and mashes famous beats.
All of my wildest dreams will come true if I can pursue a career in the music industry, said Lucitt, who also runs the behindthescenes aspect of his band.
Lucitts interest are not limited to music. He created a web design company called Not Not Good Designs, which promotes independent artists and small companies online. He also has a telent for film, as he is the cocreator of a comedy show, Calabasas On, which is based on Kassem Gs California On.
With film, its easier for me to create anything I want without setting boundaries, said Lucitt. I like being able to make a comedy one day and come out with a horror film the next day.
Lucitts passions for music, webdesign and film have allowed him to grow as an artist. Lucitt hopes to fulfill his dreams by futher pursuing music in the future.
